Named Winnows Hill, the clay pigeon shooting ground is set in a beautiful natural wooded area within Northumberland’s Slaley Forest. It has good vehicular access and a large car park and some shooting stands are accessible for wheelchair users.

Tea, coffee and hot sandwiches are available throughout the morning.

Directions to BEAMISH SPORTING CLUB Shooting Ground

Winnows Hill Is located on the B6306 Hexham to Blanchland road at the
southern end of Slaley Forest approximately 9 miles from Hexham and 4 miles
from Blanchland.

Take the A68 road to Kilnpit Hill then turn at the cross-roads and head for
Blanchland. Continue past West Minsteracres until the road forks (Approx.2 miles). Bear left and continue until you reach the T junction.Turn leftdown the hill and the shoot is located through the first gate on the right. Please park in the car parking area.

Shooting commences at 10am until approx 12noon.

A Practice trap is always available and novices are welcome under individual
supervision of a qualified instructor. The Club is the holder of a current
exemption certificate from Northumbria Police Force.

Please note – FIBRE WADS ONLY ARE TO BE USED AT WINNOWS HILL
(cartridges are available on site)
